Foam for Fire Protection Purpose

Foam for fre  protection  purpose  is an aggregate of air-filed  bubbles formed from aqueous solutions and  is  lower in density than the lightest fammable iquids It is mainly used to form a coherent loating blanket on flammable and combustible liquids to prevent or  to  extinguish  fires  by  excluding  air  and  cooling  the  fuel  It  also  prevents  re-ignition  by  suppressing  formation  of  fammable vapours,It  has  the  property  of  achering  to  surfaces,providing  a  degree  of  exposure  protection  fom  adjacent  fires,Foam  may  be used as a fire prevention,control,or extinguishing agent for flammableliouid in tanks or processing areas.Foam solutions for these hazards may be supplied by fxed systems or portable foam generating systems

lt  is  required to  installfixed deck foam fire extinguishing systems to the cargo deck of oil tankers and chemical tankers.Fain  has bcen providing comprehensive techniques and products for extinguishing systems for several decades
